Frequently Asked Questions

  • What happens in the event of bad weather?

The captain will contact you the day of the charter if there are any weather concerns. There is an old saying in Charleston, "If you don't like the weather, just wait five minutes and it will change!" Therefore, we do not call off charters when the forecast calls for "a chance of thunderstorms." Afternoon showers are common in our area and quickly pass with sunshine to follow. The captain’s number one priority is your safety and comfort!

Inclement weather cancellations will be determined when winds are too high and/or there is heavy rain/lightning. You will be able to reschedule your charter or receive a full refund if we cancel due to weather.

  • What is the booking and cancellation policy?

Cancellations will only be provided due to weather and are at the discretion of the captain. If the captain cancels the charter due to hazardous weather, we will work with you to reschedule or provide a refund. No shows will be charged the full price.

  • How many guests can be on the charter?

Per United States Coast Guard (USCG) regulations, a maximum of 6 guests are allowed on the vessel. This number includes children. Any child under the age of 13 must bring a Coast Guard approved jacket and wear at all times. We do not provide life jackets for children on board.

  • What should I bring?

Sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, light jacket (if windy or a cooler day), and of course, your camera! It is recommended to wear closed toed non-marking shoes or we suggest NO SHOES on board the boat.

  • May I bring food and beverages?

A cooler stocked with bottled water and ice will be provided. Guests are welcome to bring wine, beer, and spirits aboard to enjoy responsibly while underway. Please refrain from bringing glass bottles to avoid accidents. Large rollable coolers are discouraged due to space. Illegal drugs, smoking cigars, cigarettes, and vaping are not permitted.

  • Should I tip the captain?

A 15-20% tip is customary assuming you enjoyed your charter experience with us.

  • Are pets allowed?

As much as we love our furry friends, we cannot allow any pets on board.

  • What if I have mobility issues?

Unfortunately, our boat does not accommodate wheelchairs or mobility assistance devices. Due to the various levels with ramps, steps, and thresholds it may be unsuitable for some people with atypical mobility.

Our Departure Point

Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled charter to allow for a timely departure. This will allow time to park, find the boat, and get settled. We will offer a five-minute grace period for being late, but the charter will leave without guests that are not on time.
